HABAU GROUP celebrates topping out ceremony for new location in Vienna

The HABAU GROUP has been commissioned by Group company HELD & FRANCKE to deliver an office building with an attached employee housing facility in Strebersdorf, located within the 21st district of Vienna. The first major milestone of the construction project was celebrated yesterday with the topping off ceremony: The structure of the building has been finalised.

An office building for 60 HELD & FRANCKE employees is being built at Autokaderstrasse 78-80. Right next door is an employee housing facility with 91 beds. The HABAU GROUP companies HABAU, KARL SEIDL and HELD & FRANCKE are working together to deliver this 13-million-euro project: The first major sign of progress – finishing the structure of the building – was celebrating only a few months after the groundbreaking ceremony, which took place on 15 March 2021. To mark the occasion, the topping out ceremony was held last Tuesday, 24 August 2021 in Floridsdorf.

Investing in the region

The CEO of the HABAU GROUP, Hubert Wetschnig enthused: “For us, the new location is not only an opportunity to expand our regional business in Vienna and northern Lower Austria. We are also proud to be making a contribution to society by investing in Vienna and thus securing jobs.” The district representative of the 21st district of Vienna, Georg Papai, was amongst the attendees. He adds: “I’m very grateful and proud, that this investment is being made here in Strebersdorf. The interplay between our district, the committed companies and their employees allows locals to enjoy a considerably higher quality of life.” The new building, which meets high energy efficiency standards, is scheduled for completion in June 2022. The construction focusses on materials such as concrete and glass, giving the building a modern design.
