The HABAU GROUP is setting new benchmarks in the construction industry: the construction group achieved 23rd place in the overall ranking by trend and Statista, taking first place in the “construction” category. With technological progress and innovative projects, the HABAU GROUP thus sets itself apart from its competition.
In the current ranking of “Austria’s top innovative companies 2025”, renowned business magazine trend and market research company Statista list the HABAU GROUP among the 150 most innovative companies in the country. This award celebrates companies that make an impression with their groundbreaking technologies, creative approaches and visionary corporate culture. And the HABAU GROUP has distinguished itself as a pioneer in the construction industry.
With four patent applications in recent years, the HABAU GROUP has made a mark with its innovative power in the construction sector: resource-efficient façade panels, procedures to retrofit existing pipelines, sustainable mounting systems and a safety concept to minimise workplace accidents demonstrate the construction group’s practical and future-oriented approach.

HABAU GROUP impresses with innovative projects
This innovative capacity is reflected not only in patent applications, but also in pioneering projects. The construction of the Salzburg Government Services Centre contributes significantly to the company’s top position: during construction of the administrative building, new climate-friendly timber-concrete hybrid systems were used so as to guarantee as small a CO2 footprint as possible. And that’s not all – the HABAU GROUP has also demonstrated its innovative spirit with the use of recycled road surfacing on the A1 motorway section Schmittenhäusl.
With its elementary educational institution showcase project “BAfEP21” in Vienna Floridsdorf, the construction group is proving that innovation is usually tightly intertwined with digitalisation: specially developed BIM software is used to check project quality in a uniform and reliable manner.
Construction is a people business
The company’s commitment goes well beyond the construction site, however. As an active member of associations, chambers and research institutes, the HABAU GROUP promotes central issues such as digitalisation, innovation and conservation of resources with a large number of its own employees. In-house campaigns focus on climate-relevant processes and play a decisive role in redefining the standards of the construction industry.
