In total, 40 projects were entered into the SOLID Bautechpreis 2021. Ultimately, and despite the tough competition, the HABAU GROUP was awarded first place in the ‘Digital & BIM’ category, thanks to its groundbreaking work on the Havelland motorway near Berlin (A10/A24). The jury emphasised that the fact that the project had pushed the boundaries of BIM technology and that it had been used in such a large-scale project were decisive to the project’s win.
Extending the German A10 motorway and renovating the A24 represents the largest contract for the construction family to date. This PPP project not only spans the construction of numerous kilometres of motorway, bridges and eight junctions, it also includes five parking and toilet facilities, 20 kilometres of noise barriers and much more. All project data is planned and processed digitally using BIM.
